A three CD set of outtakes etc. from Tom Waits.

Thanks to Felix for introducing me to Terry Pratchett. The Color of Magic is worthy of a place on my bookshelf next to Wodehouse.

Final Fantasy XII is really slick.

Thanks also to Fiend, who pointed you toward The Color of Magic when I was pointing you toward just any old Discworld book.

Comparing anyone to Wodehouse is high praise, coming from you.

What did you think of the Waits CD? Amazon indicates that it contains a Kurt Weill cover, which seems like a natural combination. I've only heard Waits do Weill once, a (probably pirated) recording of him singing Mack the Knife.

Oops, forgot that it was Fiend who posted that in your combox. Anyway, I think I'll try reading them through in the order Pratchett wrote them, so I've checked out The Light Fantastic from the library. Fun stuff--like Piers Anthony but with fewer bad puns and less prurience.

I haven't gotten that Waits collection yet--maybe I'll put it on my Christmas list.
