Welcome! Here I will chronicle my first year on the job at a small college library in a small Texas town. Monitor my progress, or lack thereof, as a collection development and reference librarian, not to mention my efforts, perhaps doomed in advance, to find interesting things to do in the flat, dusty, and alcohol-deficient plains. Besides librarianship, I'll also be talking philosophy, theology, music, books, cinema...but politics bores me so don't expect running commentary on current events.
